Innovative Institute of Agriculture, Business and Capacity Building, (IABC) is a Private tertiary institution, International (African), Non-Governmental Organization using a psycho-social approach to reach out to the community. The broader idea of the IABC was born in the mind of Julius Mama since 2002 as a Private Limited Company.

The institute started operating in one of its branches by September 5th 2011 in the then Arua Municipality and now Arua City to-date on land of approximately 2 acres. The campus has shifted some of its activities to the new site measuring 4.8 acres located in Andivu-etua village, Ajona Parish, Vura Sub-county of Arua District. The facilities in IABC Arua include Office block, 3 classroom blocks (10 classrooms) and 1 hall, a greenhouse, farmland, school bus, piggery unit, poultry unit, rabbitry and goat unit.

The Institute further acquired land in Kiigya Village, Kiigya Parish, Kigumba Sub-county, Kibanda South County and Kiryandongo district from 2013. By 2022 IABC Kigumba campus had already acquired a total of 54 acres of land.The construction in IABC Kigumba campus started in 2015 and by 2022 the established structures are 2 domintories, 3 classroom blocks (8 rooms), bakery and kitchen unit, goat unit and poultry unit.

The Institute has been licensed by Ministry of Education and Sports and accredited by Uganda Association of Private Vocational Institutions (UGAPRIVI), Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) and Uganda Business and Technical Examinations. UGAPRIVI NUMBER: 729/1078, UBTEB NUMBER: UBV021, DIT: UVQF176 and certificate of incorporation registration number: 80020000009169. The TIN number for IABC is 1014870350. The Institute meets its statutory obligations such as PAYE, NSSF, company income tax, withholding tax and local service taxes.
