1.      Staffing

The Institute comprises of 25 teaching and non teaching staffs excluding the Directors and occasional part time staffs that also give support to the Institute whenever needed. We also have 15 Consultancy team members. The majority of the teaching staff members hold a minimum of Degrees in agriculture or veterinary. The others have good diploma papers. The Principal holds a master degree in Education (Languages). One of the Directors is a holder of Masters Degree of Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development. Thus, the Institute is well equipped with highly competent academic staff with the required knowledge, skills, and working experience. The broad Departments include Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Human Nutrition & Dietetics and Business Department. The fully operational departments are that of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Agribusiness. Business and Cooperative department has been operating at the level of non-formal modular skills training for over 8 years, but formal Programs are now available at Kigumba Campus starting, February 2020.

2.      Quality assurance

Quality assurance is ensured by the Management board, Principal, Heads of Department and Institute Lawyer. The Institute also makes use of External and Internal Auditors to perform this function. The aim of Quality Assurance is to enhance the effectiveness of the Institutes’ nucleus activities. This helps to improve the training and research standards and quality of services at the Institute
